I have learned to be happy with unexpected results when it comes to parenting--skating is much more cut and dry.
Parenting and skateboarding are both challenging, but parenting is far more unpredictable. I am able to balance family time as I plan ahead, and prioritize my obligations.
I would consider my greatest accomplishment as raising a family while following my passion.
I have learned to be happy with unexpected results when it comes to parenting--skating is much more cut and dry. It’s hard to believe that siblings can be so different when they share common DNA. What is effective parenting can have little effect with another. I know how to tailor my authority and advice to each one.
What I learned from my parents, which I’d like to pass on to my kids would be to: Believe in yourself, even if you enjoy doing something different than the status quo.
