In 2010, we did an interview with American media personality, and Poosh founder, Kourtney Kardashian, about her only child at the time--her and Scott Disick's son, Mason Dash Disick--who turned 11 last December 14. Kourtney was only too happy to share about her life as a new mother.
ON FIRST TIME MOTHERHOOD
It is so fulfilling. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing little boy in my life.
LABOR & DELIVERY
My labor was calm, peaceful, and easy. Everything I thought it would not be. It was an experience I will cherish forever.
DIAPER DUTY
The first time I ever changed Mason's diaper, Scott and I did it together. It was our first night home from the hospital, and neither of us really knew what we were doing.

As soon as we took his diaper off, we got a little double surprise and we both scrambled figuring out how to clean everything up. It was a good time.
THE CHANGES IN HER LIFE AFTER MASON
My priority in my life now is Mason, where before it was all about me. I love the change. I think a switch just went off in me when I had him. I instantly embraced motherhood. I had never cared for a baby before, but it all just came to me. Life is obviously very different now, much more planning involved, many more gadgets and toys, lots of prayers.

I am loving it all. I even love changing Mason's diaper. I love comforting him when he cries, I love staring at him for hours when he sleeps. I love bath time, story time, bedtime, nap time, play time. It's all amazing. He makes me a better person.
ON BREASTFEEDING
I am going with the flow and taking my cues from Mason. As long as he wants to breastfeed, I will. I am aiming for a year. I am loving it so far, and so is he. Such amazing bonding time and obviously so natural and healthy for both of us.
I am loving it all. I even love changing Mason's diaper.
Breastfeeding has made me bounce back into shape for sure. I am not on any kind of diet right now, I try to eat a good balance and am constantly eating throughout the day. I am not currently working out right now, just don't seem to have the time.
KRIS & CAITLYN JENNER'S PARENTING INFLUENCE
They like to give their opinions on all of course, as all grandparents do I’m sure. I listen, but make my own decisions.
HANDS-ON PARENTING
I am VERY hands on! I like to do any and everything with Mason. I bring him with me everywhere that I feel safe and comfortable doing so. I prefer Mason to be with Scott or my family, but I do have someone that helps when I am working.
I would say stay as calm and relaxed as you can. The baby feels your energy.
I am very lucky to have a big family filled with babysitters to help out. Kendall and Kylie love to come along with us, which is nice to have extra hands around. And also, Mason gets some, "Auntie time."
THE VALUES SHE WILL INSTILL IN HER SON
Family is the most important thing in the world, money does not equal happiness. I want him to have a strong work ethic like my sisters and I have. I want him to be kind, and to value honesty and treat people as he would like to be treated.
I am very lucky to have a big family filled with babysitters to help out.
MASON'S PERSONALITY AS A BABY
He has the best personality already. He is so happy! He laughs so hard. He also has his major serious moments with so many facial expressions. He is very alert and knows what's going on. He is calm, mellow, and easygoing.
MOTHERHOOD TIPS
I would say stay as calm and relaxed as you can. The baby feels your energy. Be patient, loving, nurturing. I do everything on mason's schedule. If I'm late, I'm late.
Whatever makes him happy, makes me happy.
I don’t rush, just take my time. Everything else can wait. Mason comes first and foremost before everything. Nothing is more important than him.
